Gloria- Mercy Me

Friday, April 1, 2011

I am enjoying life.

Lately I have kept myself busy about my Lord's work. Doing things I never saw myself doing ever before. I know it is because of Him in me these things are possible and being accomplished. So today, I state aloud, "I LOVE my GOD, I AM, who created me and His son Jesus Christ who died for me and will return to take me home."

The Mouth and The Brain

My brother posted this once, "Heart is the engine of your body but the brain is the engine of your life." Today, I finally read it. hahaha. Anyway, made me think of how God gives us the freedom of choice in all things. We choose to follow His call, as we do in obeying His Word, His command, in seeking His will to live out not our own. The mouth is what shows each of us what is in the heart of one's soul which is stated in (NAS) Matthew 15: 18 “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.” ~~ Jesus

Today's Lesson In Baking

Tonight we had a baking experience that almost scared me.  Almost a FIRE in the oven.  I wasn't scared too much because Ralph was here. I learned that a half inch in a bread pan can make a whole lot of difference especially dealing with yeast, baking powder, etc.  I could have taken the half inch in 4 bread pans and made a fifth pan if I had only known the outcome.  The sweet bread rose so high out of the pan, if regular bread may have been just fine, but due to being sweet bread, it was mushier and dripped into the oven causing the excess to burn on the bottom of the oven.  I cleaned it out by wiping the first portion with a paper towel.  Then later the again.  BUT, towards the end the other two were just dripping beyond control and one in particular, oh wow.  I thought a fire was going to ignite due to the debree being so red like charcoal.  Ralph scrapped it out with a spatchula, but then the house filled with smoke.  Aaron and I were choking on it.  Opened the back door to let the smoke out.  I was even praying out loud because I was a bit scared and nervous.  Ralph suggested throwing them out and giving up, but I said no, let them bake.  That is when I prayed.  A few minutes later we checked on them, they were done.  All of them.  The Lord answered my prayer.  You see I put the first 2 in together, but the 3rd in about 20 minutes later and the 4 about 15 minutes after the 3rd one.  So you see, them getting done all together was a blessing.  No fire.  :-)  Smoke has left the house.

I learned something today and the bread is saved and tastes good.

Trying to stay focused ~~~ when there are distractions

I am focusing on God's Word which is full of truth and believing in His strength and His healing power, but today when I finally get a day to stay home and relax, my mind continues to hear the words of my most recent doctor's visit. The appointment was not with my normal doctor, but the specialist he sent me to. NOT GOOD news.

Anyway, I didn't sign Matt up for basketball due to being too busy with things, I missed the deadline. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

Santa (Jesus) was really good to Matt via his Aunts, Uncles, and grandparents. :-) Oh and Ralph and his kids. I bought him a couple of things, but not much.

Anyway, keep me and my family in your prayers.

2011 is off to a great start though!!!

I am happy, full of life, and can say I have "love" in my life.
